History

For those of you who don't know - this is my cancer story!

Late 2016, i was having some weird symptoms. I got checked by my GP who sent me for some more tests. They came back and found i had some concerning pre-cancerous cells in my cervix. In March of 2017, i had an operation and they found some cancer in my cervix! Luckily they were able to surgically remove it all. 
Thankfully, i got myself checked quickly and was able to get on top of it without it being much worse. 
Now i have yearly checks to make sure nothing comes back, and i have been cancer free since!
Unfortunately cancer runs in my family, my grandmother and aunt both had breast cancer, with my aunt dying of it about 13 years ago. 
Remember to get checked for any concerning symptoms!

I’m participating in the Women’s 5km Run on Sunday 8 September.
