Cancer Council Tasmania's Women's 5K Walk/Run

Proudly presented by Harcourts Launceston, The Women's 5K Walk/Run is an annual fun run event held in Launceston Tasmania in early September. Setting out from City Park the 5km route is open to all ages and all experiences, everyone is encouraged to come along dressed in pink and walk or run the event.  The 2024 will be held on Sunday 8th September - registration is closing on Friday at midday! 

City Park Opens from 8:30am

Race starts at 10:00am (runners first, followed by the walkers at 10:05am)

Why register?

This event supports and encourages health awareness for all Tasmanians, and also raises vital funds for Cancer Council Tasmania’s support and research programs. Each year, the Women’s 5km Walk/Run brings together thousands of men, women and children of all ages, backgrounds, levels of fitness and accessibility in celebration and remembrance of life.

Cancer Council Tasmania has a mission to reduce the incidence and impact of cancer on all Tasmanians, and Women’s 5k Walk/Run also delivers on this mission – you can support and sponsor your friends and family to take part, or participate yourself! Join as a team or an individual – run with your work mates, or walk with your kids! Everyone is welcome to take part. Please note this is a smoke free event.
